❄️February, You’re Forgiven
Turns out this month has range in the Potomac + Bethesda area. Between the Winter Olympics, Lunar New Year, and Valentine’s Day, there’s an unusual density of reasons to actually leave the house. My household is currently deep in a curling obsession (the closest club is in Laurel, in case you were wondering), and I’ve been feeling a pull of nostalgia for the outdoor toboggans at Cabin John Park from my childhood.
The closest I’ll personally get to Olympic glory is probably a beginner ice skating class at the rink (details below), and that’s more than enough. There’s plenty happening locally that doesn’t require athletic ambition—just a willingness to show up. Here’s what caught our eye.
If there’s something you’d love to see more of—or an event you think belongs here—we’d love to hear from you. Reach out anytime at [email protected]. Did you attend anything from a previous issue? We’d love to hear how it went!
